Harris County Precinct 3 Engineers have provided drawings and specifications for the long-awaited and oft-deferred project to widen North Eldridge Parkway. During an onsite meeting on October 30, 2025, the general work plan and the construction detail that will likely affect our community was revealed. Final edits to the plans are being made.
Plan approval and budgeting are expected by year-end 2025. Notices and requests for bids will be published in early 2026. Bid reviews and awards will take a few months. Currently, it is estimated the first phase of construction will commence in the late 3rd quarter of 2026.
Treeline’s entrance and exit lanes will be affected to transition from the current pavement elevation to the new roadway pavement elevation. We will likely see the entrance and exit lanes demolished and rebuilt from the easternmost edge of the pavers closest to the gates eastward to the point of intersection of the new pavement surface.
For several weeks, we will be required to utilize two-way traffic through our non-affected gate. Traffic diversions will be erected to facilitate safe flow of traffic.
The plan includes curb and gutter and sidewalks on either side of the new roadway. The proposed location(s) of traffic control signals are not disclosed as those have not yet been finalized
